An exercise ball is constructed from soft elastic material and filled with air. The air pressure may be regulated by removing a valve stem and filling with air or letting the ball deflate. The firmer the ball, the more difficult the exercise will be performed. It is used in physical therapy, athletic training, fitness exercises and weight training as well.
